Finland Minnesota Heritage Site

MP 65.3

N 47.40213 W 91.19734

Finland Minnesota Heritage Site is a former homestead set up to honor the early settlers of eastern Lake County, Minnesota.  A number of different buildings provide an insight into the early settlerís lives.  Of course there is a sauna! This is Finnish country. There is also a visitor center, blacksmith shop, band shell, early log home and much more.

Turn inland off Highway 61 at MP 65.3 onto Lake County #6 (Little Marais Rd) and follow this road for 4.9 miles until you come to Fire # 5653 (once again, these are the little blue signs along the side of the road which act as house numbers) and turn in at the Finland Minnesota Heritage Site sign.  Then image your life in the early 1900ís.
